SuperSplat
PlayCanvas SuperSplat provides a WebGPU browser editor for selecting, cropping, transforming, and grading raw Gaussian Splats, then adding camera animation, annotations, post effects, and collision and exporting PLY, compressed PLY, SOG, or a self-hostable web viewer.
Why use it
It is selected because capture is only the first step: games and interactive presentations still need floaters removed, data compressed, views directed, and browser performance tested. SuperSplat puts those jobs in a free workflow, and teams can embed its MIT viewer without locking a playable prototype to the hosted service.
Where it fits
Use art, animation, audio, levels, and narrative to make the game easy to read and its world convincing.
What to check
The editor, viewer, and conversion utilities are MIT, while Studio, Manage, Explore, and publishing APIs are proprietary hosted layers; creators remain responsible for location, likeness, trademark, and download rights in captured scenes, and must test splat memory, mobile support, collision fidelity, and engine interchange on target hardware.
