Kilo Code
Kilo Code is an MIT-licensed open-source coding agent for VS Code, JetBrains, CLI, and cloud workspaces, with specialized agents, code review, MCP, custom modes, and a broad model catalog.
Why use it
A small game team can apply one ruleset to interactive local edits, long-running background work, and pull-request review while switching models inside a task. Provider-rate routing also helps reserve expensive reasoning for architecture or difficult defects.
Where it fits
Find engines, frameworks, code libraries, version control, and production automation.
What to check
Cloud agents, model routing, and always-on services are separate from the local MIT code, and their accounts, usage, and data handling follow platform and model-provider terms. Parts of its CLI derive from OpenCode, so verify configuration and plugin compatibility during migration.
