GameDriver
GameDriver is a proprietary game and XR test-automation platform that uses Unity or Unreal SDKs, hierarchy queries, Test Assistant, and CI interfaces to drive builds and verify runtime behavior across desktop, mobile, headsets, and approved console environments.
Why use it
Generic web-test frameworks cannot normally observe engine objects, scene state, or game input, while GameDriver exposes them to repeatable scripts. QA and engineering can move smoke tests, menus, level paths, and device regressions into build pipelines and let non-engine users maintain tests through a standalone assistant.
Where it fits
Use testing, performance, accessibility, and diagnostic tools to remove problems players will notice.
What to check
It uses project or node subscriptions rather than an open-source license, and full console or XR coverage requires the relevant plan, SDK access, and hardware. Animation timing, network variance, and hierarchy changes can still make automation brittle, so retain stable selectors, test data, exploratory testing, and certification checks.
