ClusterFuzzLite

ClusterFuzzLite is Google's Apache-2.0 open-source continuous-fuzzing solution for pull-request and longer batch jobs in CI, retaining crash testcases and corpora and producing coverage reports across C/C++, JVM, Go, Python, Rust, and Swift.

Why use it

Save readers, network packets, asset importers, shader preprocessing, and custom compression are complex game-engine input surfaces that conventional examples miss. A focused harness in PR fuzzing can use sanitizers to catch bounds errors, use-after-free, and malformed inputs before merge, while batch jobs grow the corpus and preserve every discovered crash as a durable regression asset.

Where it fits

Use testing, performance, accessibility, and diagnostic tools to remove problems players will notice.

What to check

Useful results require deterministic, fast harnesses for specific parsers plus sanitizer, seed, and crash-deduplication work; GPU, live-network, and full interactive levels rarely fuzz well directly. Budget CI compute and corpus storage, respect third-party and console SDK licenses, and have engineers assess exploitability and repair priority after a crash is found.
