Audiogen
Audiogen has evolved from an early short-SFX generator into a browser Generative Audio Workstation that combines text- or audio-conditioned generation, inpainting, extension, remixing, and multitrack or stem editing on one timeline.
Why use it
It is selected because it demonstrates a workflow closer to sound production than one prompt yielding one file: designers can continue before and after an existing clip, replace a local transient, separate layers, and compare structures, making it valuable for studying how generative models fit editable score, ambience, and texture work.
Where it fits
Use art, animation, audio, levels, and narrative to make the game easy to read and its world convincing.
What to check
The current Terms effective 2025-10-01 restrict output to lawful, internal, personal, non-commercial use with attribution, without an automatic paid-subscriber exception; users also grant the service broad, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable rights in submitted content, and some output may be public in third-party communities. Use it only for learning and non-commercial prototypes, and do not rely on older royalty-free commercial messaging.
